Teaching Me Love
In 2020, Michael’s younger brother, Tom, asked him about the song writing process. This conversation inspired Michael to invite his brother into the process and write a meaningful letter to the people who impacted his life for the better.
Mark Elliot, Athletic Director of Trevecca University, established the Michael Pretorius Courage Award, which has been presented annually since 2016 to a Trevecca athlete who exemplifies courage in overcoming adversity. In this video, Michael shares part of his story for Travecca’s Trojy Athletic Awards in 2016. This was recorded prior to the recurrence of cancer in 2019.
